Community Partnerships

Latina Futures is leveraging the research might of a national bench of scholars with on the ground leaders to nurture a multi-faceted leadership ecosystem that can advance a future where everyone thrives.  Working together, we’re weaving our knowledge, strengths, and ingenuity to ensure our communities are able to directly participate in shifting policy and shaping better outcomes for a just future for all.

Social Innovation

HIP

Latina Futures has partnered with Hispanics in Philanthropy (HIP) to develop a series of community engagement convenings to provide insights on policy challenges and opportunities for social innovation work targeting Latinas, which are one of the fastest growing demographics groups.

Power Building

Future Leaders

In a partnership with Future Leaders of America (FLA), Latina Futures is embarking on sustained investments in a multi-racial, multi-ethnic leadership ecosystem in California’s Central Coast.

Legislative Advocacy

HOPE

Working with Hispanas Organized for Political Equality (HOPE), Latina Futures is launching a partnership to support and promote the next generation of Latina leaderships and advocates in California. Our partnership aims to train over 300 Latinas in three years, preparing them to fill key leadership roles in their local communities and growing the HOPE Leadership Institute (HLI) model across key regions of the state.

Structural Reforms

Assembly Committee on Latina Inequities

Latina Futures serves as a partner to the Assembly Select Committee on Latina Inequities, working with the Legislature to build a research agenda that focuses on addressing the economic status of Latinas in California and informing policy recommendations. The Select Committee was formed as part of the Unseen Latinas Initiative launched by the California Latino Legislative Caucus in 2020 to highlight the continued and growing inequality that California Latinas experience.

LatinoJustice

In collaboration with LatinoJustice PRLDEF (LJP), Latina Futures is advancing a legacy civil rights organization’s role in shaping law and policy across the U.S. This collaboration supports three major pillars of LJP’s work—Leadership, Racial Justice, and Systems Reform.
